Italian designer Giorgiandreazza has unveiled BERGIE's Fall/Winter 2025 collection, centered around the contrast between intimate human connections and technological distance.
The collection draws inspiration from the ritual of sharing coffee—a moment when people connect face-to-face across a table. This warmth is juxtaposed against the increasingly digital nature of modern interactions, where drones and screens create physical separation in our relationships.
At the heart of the collection is the new Coffee Leather BERGIE, developed through a partnership with an Italian biotech company. The material uses recycled coffee grounds to create an alternative to traditional leather. The innovation maintains the quality and tactile experience expected from luxury materials while offering a more sustainable option.
BERGIE's approach reflects a growing industry trend toward materials that merge natural resources with technological advancement. The coffee-based leather represents both the warmth of tradition and the possibilities of innovation—mirroring the collection's broader thematic exploration.
The FW25 collection will be available at select retailers and through BERGIE's online platform starting in September. Pricing for pieces featuring the Coffee Leather is expected to range from €800 to €2,500, positioning the collection in the premium segment of the market.
The debut marks Giorgiandreazza's fifth year at the helm of BERGIE, continuing the brand's evolution toward sustainability without compromising its design heritage.
