Japanese streetwear brand A Bathing Ape (BAPE) and adidas Originals have announced a new footwear collaboration, expanding their ongoing partnership. The focus of this release is the Orketro, a sneaker design originally conceived in Tokyo and inspired by early 2000s aesthetic.
The collaborative sneaker features an asymmetrical design that highlights the unique characteristics of both brands. The left shoe displays the classic adidas Three Stripes, while the right shoe showcases the distinctive BAPE STA logo, creating a deliberately mismatched look that reflects the bold design ethos of Japanese street fashion.
Material composition combines mesh and patent leather, emphasizing two Y2K-inspired colorways. Prominent 1ST LINE CAMO patterns are integrated into the design, complemented by co-branded details that underscore the collaborative nature of the project.
The special edition release includes a customized packaging containing the sneakers and a complementary blue mesh bag. Collectors and streetwear enthusiasts can purchase the Orketro on November 23rd through the Confirmed app and select retail partners.
