Runners heading to Berlin face a new pre-race ritual on Kantstrasse. Design-focused tea brand CROMO partners with Adidas Running on a limited capsule collection focused on marathon preparation. Ahead of the event, this collaboration merges technical apparel with ancient mindfulness practices.

The central piece consists of a modified Adidas hydration garment designed for tea preparation. Designers restructured the piece to transport matcha tools alongside standard liquid bladders. Inside the pockets, runners carry a ceramic tea bowl, a whisk rest, bamboo implements, and an airtight travel tin. Craftspeople hand-formed the ceramics using upcycled earthen clay and reclaimed process water. The bamboo set includes a traditional whisk and scoop, while the UV-protected tin shields high-frequency matcha from moisture across thirty kilometers of road.

Beside the equipment release, both teams built a temporary modular teahouse in central Berlin. Raw steel grating, structural scaffolding, and high-visibility reflective fabric form the outer shell. Designer Bogdan Martoiu from Adidas Home Of Fast collaborated with CROMO to shape this industrial space at Kantstrasse 126.

Inside the quiet interior, visitors encounter two distinct event days. Day one welcomes the public for walk-in tastings focused on tea ingredients and physical benefits. Day two shifts to private, pre-reserved tea ceremonies for marathon participants and media guests. CROMO co-founder and tea sommelier Jenny D. Pham leads these sessions using handmade ceramic cups from Milan.

You gain a structured moment of stillness before covering forty-two kilometers of asphalt. Modern endurance culture prioritizes continuous data tracking and chemical supplements. This initiative brings runners back to simple sensory focus, offering mental clarity before intense physical exertion. You find these limited products exclusively at the Berlin venue during race week.
