Summary
- Eyewear brand releases 21-piece foldable collection with Bratz doll partnership
- Pop-up stores open across four cities featuring themed experiences and specialty items
- Launch scheduled for May 29 with Aespa's Karina as campaign face
Gentle Monster has announced a partnership with toy brand Bratz for a new product line called the Pocket Collection. The collaboration produces 21 different eyewear designs alongside a commemorative Bratz doll.
The Pocket Collection centers on foldable frame technology, with several pieces designed to compress into compact forms before expanding to standard eyewear dimensions. Frame styles range from cat-eye shapes to minimalist optical designs, incorporating elements that reference early 2000s fashion trends associated with the Bratz brand.
Aespa member Karina appears in the campaign imagery, which positions the collaboration within a stylized aesthetic that mirrors the plastic doll format of Bratz products. The marketing materials emphasize the connection between human and doll-like appearances.
Four pop-up locations will support the product launch. The Los Angeles space includes partnerships with Nudake for microissant pastries and Maru Coffee for specialized cream-topped beverages. Additional locations operate in Seoul, Shanghai, and Bangkok. Each space features oversized Bratz doll installations and themed interior design elements.
The collection draws from both companies' design approaches, combining Gentle Monster's architectural frame construction with Bratz's colorful, youth-oriented visual language. Frame colors and shapes incorporate the bright palette and angular forms associated with the doll line.
Both brands position the collaboration as an expression of individual style choices, though neither company has disclosed sales projections or production numbers for the limited collection.
The Pocket Collection becomes available for purchase through online channels on May 29 at 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Pricing information and availability duration have not been announced.
