The fashion collaboration between MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon extends beyond footwear this season, introducing their first ready-to-wear collection. The launch follows their recent XT-Mary J shoe release and arrives in stores November 7.
The collection splits into two distinct categories. The GORE-TEX line features technical outerwear including trench coats, windbreakers with zip closures, and oversized button-down shirts, alongside straight-leg pants with five pockets. The Seamless range offers athletic pieces like stretch leggings and long-sleeved crewneck tops. The palette stays minimal with nude, black, and white tones throughout.
For footwear, the collaboration presents the ACS PRO 2 MM6 Maison Margiela in concrete gray and matte black finishes. The Cross Low MM6 Maison Margiela returns with two new color combinations: pink with bright red accents and almond with army green details. This modified version of Salomon's Speedcross trail shoe features a lower profile and distinctive lug sole, plus a drawstring gaiter closure in ripstop nylon - a design element borrowed from sports parkas and vintage rain boots.
The collection includes accessories, with MM6 Maison Margiela's interpretation of Salomon's multi-pocket daypack available in black and natural mastic. All pieces are designed to be gender-neutral.
The full collection will be available through both brands' retail locations and online platforms. This release marks the latest development in an ongoing partnership between the avant-garde fashion house and the technical sports equipment manufacturer.
