One Block Down and Timberland have developed a new boot collection that draws from Timberland's archive materials and design language. The collaboration centers on three distinct colorways, each named after natural elements: Earth, Water, and Sky.
The project started with One Block Down examining Timberland's historical claims and visual identity. The team selected "Wind, Earth, Water and Sky" as the foundation for this release. This phrase, part of Timberland's past marketing, now serves as the conceptual framework for the color palette.
The boots use Pull-Up leather, a material selected for both aesthetic and functional properties. This leather type changes appearance when bent or stressed. The surface lightens at flex points, creating contrast across the boot's structure. Each pair develops different patterns based on how the wearer moves and uses the footwear.
Pull-Up leather shows wear differently than standard leather. Surface scratches do not penetrate deep into the material. Instead, they add texture and variation to the appearance. The leather's natural oils allow users to buff out minor marks by rubbing the affected area.
The campaign photographs place the boots in urban environments rather than natural landscapes. The images show hidden corners and overlooked spaces within cities. This choice emphasizes how outdoor footwear functions in metropolitan contexts. The Earth colorway appears in tones that reference soil and rock. Water takes on blue-grey shades. Sky uses lighter tones.
Design elements remain close to Timberland's standard boot construction. The sole pattern, eyelet configuration, stitching details, and collar all follow the brand's established format. Two changes distinguish this collaboration: the leather choice and the addition of a second set of laces.
One Block Down's branding appears debossed on the tongue and the back of the black collar. Both brand logos are embossed on the lateral side of the upper. The main laces follow Timberland's traditional style, while the secondary laces offer an alternative look.
The Earth colorway will be available through both oneblockdown.it and Timberland.com. Water and Sky colorways remain exclusive to One Block Down's channels. All versions retail at €240.
The release date is set for November 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM CET. Customers have three purchase options: Timberland.com, oneblockdown.com, or the One Block Down physical store located at Piazza Diaz 2 in Milan.
This collaboration continues a relationship between the two companies. Previous releases have followed similar approaches, combining archival research with material selection and limited distribution strategies.
The Pull-Up leather distinguishes this release from standard Timberland boots. The material's ability to show use patterns makes each pair develop individual characteristics over time. Wearers who prefer footwear that reflects their activities will find this leather responds to daily use.
The three-colorway structure provides options while maintaining design consistency. Each version references its namesake element through color choice rather than graphic treatments or material changes beyond the leather tone.
