April 23 will mark the release of a vibrant collaboration between American outdoor heritage brand Timberland and Parisian fashion house Jacquemus. The partnership centers on a fresh interpretation of Timberland's 3-Eye Lug Boat Shoe, which first appeared in 1978 and has since become a summer footwear staple.
Dubbed "La Bateau", the collaborative shoe maintains the model's signature elements while introducing distinctive Jacquemus touches. The premium leather construction remains intact, featuring durable uppers, soft leather lining, and the characteristic lug outsole that defines the silhouette.
Designer Simon Porte of Jacquemus adds his distinctive aesthetic through several thoughtful details. Most notably, the shoe comes in an eye-catching "Banana Yellow" colorway. Gold-colored metal accents appear throughout, including uniquely designed lace-tip eyelets—featuring both square and round caps on each shoe—and co-branded lace keepers that subtly elevate the design.
The limited-edition footwear will be available at multiple locations: Jacquemus boutiques and online store, Timberland's Tokyo flagship, and through Timberland's website. Pricing is set at £225 GBP ($250 USD).
