- Photographer Collier Schorr captures authentic moments between cast members
Sarah Burton has released her first advertising campaign for Givenchy. The Fall/Winter 2025 campaign features eight women photographed by Collier Schorr.
The cast includes models Kaia Gerber, Adut Akech, Vittoria Ceretti, Nyaduola Gabriel, Eva Herzigova, Emeline Hoareau, and Liu Wen. Burton also included her longtime collaborators: stylist Camilla Nickerson and makeup artist Lucia Pieroni. Schorr appears in one photograph as a subject.
Burton presented her first Givenchy collection in March 2025 on the Paris runway. The Fall/Winter 2025 ready-to-wear collection drew inspiration from the fashion house's archives.
"The beauty of all women inspires me, including my team", Burton explained. "I wanted to capture the brilliant women I work with amongst the cast. Real moments with everyone working together."
The campaign photographs show the women in natural poses and interactions. Schorr's photography style emphasizes authenticity over posed glamour shots.
Burton previously served as creative director at Alexander McQueen for 13 years before joining Givenchy. She replaced Matthew Williams, who left the French luxury brand in January 2025.
The campaign marks Burton's first major marketing initiative since taking the creative director role at Givenchy. The images will appear in fashion publications and digital platforms worldwide.
Fashion industry observers note the campaign's focus on diverse casting and authentic representation. The inclusion of Burton's behind-the-scenes team members reflects current trends toward showing fashion's collaborative nature.
Givenchy's parent company LVMH appointed Burton to revitalize the brand's creative direction. The fashion house has undergone multiple creative director changes in recent years.
Burton's approach differs from previous Givenchy campaigns that focused heavily on celebrity endorsements. Her strategy emphasizes craftsmanship and the women who contribute to fashion creation.
