Gosha Rubchinskiy has ended his role as head of menswear design at YEEZY, marking the conclusion of a two-year partnership with Ye's fashion venture. The Russian designer announced his departure on Instagram, confirming that December's collection was his final work with the brand.

Rubchinskiy joined YEEZY in 2023 during a period of transition for the company. His appointment came after Ye's controversial social media posts targeting the Jewish community led to the termination of YEEZY's partnership with adidas. These posts included antisemitic statements and conspiracy theories that caused widespread backlash in the fashion industry.

The designer's own history in fashion includes controversy. In 2018, allegations surfaced claiming he had requested inappropriate photographs from a minor, though he denied these claims. Before YEEZY, Rubchinskiy had established himself in the fashion world through his namesake label, known for its post-Soviet aesthetic and streetwear influence.

In his farewell message, Rubchinskiy acknowledged the YEEZY team and expressed gratitude for his time at the company. He also revealed plans to relaunch his personal brand, GOSHA RUBCHINSKIY, though specific details about the revival remain private.

The announcement leaves questions about YEEZY's creative direction moving forward. The brand has not yet named a successor for the menswear position.
