Off-White

Summary:

  • Off-White displayed ten reworked archive pieces at Via Orobia 13 in Milan on September 23 and 24.
  • Ten global artists and designers modified key brand items including sneakers, hoodies, and clocks.
  • The exhibition offered public access to process materials, interactive workshops, and artist discussions.

You experience street culture history through ten individual rooms at Via Orobia 13 in Milan. Off-White hosted the Imaginary Palace exhibition from September 23 to September 24 during Milan Fashion Week. The project selected ten established garments and accessories, handing these foundational items to external creators. Each contributor transformed a chosen icon without traditional design boundaries or corporate restrictions.

Musician Scott Mescudi, known as Kid Cudi, returned the Out Of Office sneaker to athletic roots, turning footwear into a physical board for personal movement. Director Renell Medrano altered eyewear design to question optics and perception. Ava Nirui applied nineties subculture references to the basic T-shirt, creating a focal point for group identity. Designer Guillermo Andrade from brand 424 deconstructed denim pants through personal memories, referencing Virgil Abloh as a main inspiration. Stylist Veneda Carter manipulated the Meteor motif to explore body shapes and negative space.

Readymade founder Yuta Hosokawa reshaped the hoodie using multi-layered fabric cuts while retaining visible traces of original seams. Artist Bafic used black and white tones to gather reflections on youth memories. Luar designer Raul Lopez resized the Jitney bag, bringing Dominican and New York street references to the silhouette. Pigalle founder Stéphane Ashpool altered the varsity jacket structure to change familiar streetwear proportions. A$AP Nast disassembled a wall clock to evaluate time as a felt human experience rather than numerical tracking.

Visitors walked through designated spaces containing raw sketches, material samples, and environmental setups alongside finalized garments. Off-White also hosted panel discussions and hands-on workshops throughout the two-day event. You see archive fashion treatment moving away from static preservation toward active revision. The brand has not confirmed retail pricing or public purchase dates for these modified items.
