Milano's PLUG-MI festival returns for its second edition September 20-21, 2025 at Superstudio Maxi. The event, organized by Fandango Club Creators, focuses on connecting emerging artists with established figures in Italian hip hop and street culture.
The festival splits its programming across 2 days. Saturday features newer artists including Melons, Faneto, LIL CR, and ABBY 6IX. Sunday showcases veteran performers on the main PLUG-MI JD STAGE.
Tormento headlines Sunday's lineup. The Sottotono member founded Area Cronica, one of Italy's first artist-owned record labels focused on rap talent. The label launched a decade before similar artist-driven ventures became common in the Italian music industry.
MadMan brings his rapid-fire delivery style to the festival. Known for combining supersonic speed with complex lyrics, he developed techniques that pushed traditional rap boundaries while maintaining lyrical depth.
Nitro performs his fusion of traditional rap culture with hardcore influences. His approach brought underground rap styles to mainstream Italian charts through FIMI certifications. His lyrics address social issues through personal storytelling.
Johnny Marsiglia closes the veteran lineup. Industry professionals compare his narrative flow and metric precision to American hip hop legends. His storytelling approach focuses on detailed character development and plot structure.
The festival extends beyond music performances. Dance competitions include individual battles and crew competitions. REX and Bad Matty serve as judges, while DJ Powl from Double Struggle provides music. The skateboarding area features professional sessions, clinics, and instruction from experienced riders
Basketball activities follow three pre-festival Champion Nights held at Milano neighborhood courts. The final pre-event takes place September 10. Festival basketball uses two indoor Champion-branded courts with performances by DaMove and Court MLN.
Tattoo artists from Milano studios offer on-site sessions across dedicated areas. Visitors book appointments during the festival. PHYGI.io partners with Deodato.Gallery SPA to present digital art installations and gallery experiences.
JD Sports sponsors the main stage and organizes creative workshops, interactive games, and exclusive merchandise. Other brand partners include ARNETTE, Buffalo, Champion, Converse, and Levi's. MICAM Milano serves as the main partner, representing global footwear fashion.
Fashion brands Again Studios, Fama, Liminal Haze, Mitama, and Revenge Couture participate in the event. Radio 105 returns as the official radio partner.
Early bird tickets cost €19 for single-day entry, reduced from the regular €35 price. Weekend passes cost €35 instead of €60. Tickets are available through tickets.plug-mi.com.
The venue opens at 12:30 PM and closes at 11:30 PM both days. Superstudio Maxi is located at Via Moncucco 35 in Milano. Updates appear on the festival's Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok accounts, plus the official website www.plug-mi.com.
