In the wake of January's destructive wildfires, Los Angeles artists have launched a collaborative photo print fundraiser aimed at supporting affected communities. The California Picture Project, initiated by a collective of music executives and creative directors, is selling limited edition prints to benefit wildfire recovery.

The initiative features 162 contributors from diverse creative fields, including photographers, musicians, filmmakers, and designers. Prominent names like Spike Jonze, Sofia Coppola, Gabriel Moses, Troye Sivan, and Gia Coppola have joined the project, offering unique perspectives on community resilience and landscape transformation.

Priced at $150 per print, the collection captures a range of emotional and documentary-style images. Some works directly address the fires' impact, while others explore broader themes of community and environment. Martine Syms' "Luctor et Emergo" depicts a burnt fireplace with the phrase "Mama didn't raise no quitters", symbolizing local resilience.

Nadia Lee Cohen's portrait of actor Danny Trejo eating grapes and Bolade Banjo's street scene with André 3000 provide intimate glimpses of Los Angeles life. Spike Jonze's photograph "Family" offers a contemplative view of three deer overlooking downtown Los Angeles, highlighting the complex relationship between urban and natural landscapes.

All net proceeds will support the California Community Foundation Wildfire Recovery Fund, which provides long-term assistance to the most impacted communities. Niki Roberton, RCA Records' senior vice president of creative, described the project as a collective response to the disaster, emphasizing the creative community's desire to contribute meaningfully.

The fundraiser runs through March 9, with prints available on the California Picture Project's website. By purchasing artwork, supporters can directly aid wildfire recovery efforts while acquiring pieces that document a critical moment in California's recent history.
