Summary:
- Awake NY and The North Face release 50 hand-customized Nuptse jackets.
- Artists Omi and Alehsy Lambo reworked each piece individually, so no two jackets match.
- Part of the run goes on sale on the Awake NY website on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 1 p.m.
Awake NY and The North Face have announced the Nuptse Customs, a run of 50 hand-customized jackets built on the Nuptse silhouette. The New York label asked artists Omi and Alehsy Lambo to rework each piece individually. Every jacket carries its own custom treatment, so no two garments in the run match. You will not find a second copy of any design.
The North Face launched the Nuptse down jacket in 1992 and has used the model for multiple collaborations since. The jacket has a slightly boxy cut. Awake NY started in New York City in 2012. Angelo Baque, a Queens native who spent ten years as brand director at Supreme, founded the label. Since then, Awake NY has worked with brands including Carhartt WIP, Reebok, ASICS and Moncler, and you find its pieces at retailers such as Dover Street Market and Patta.
Artwork sits at the center of many Awake NY garments. Omi’s airbrushed artwork already appeared on reworked North Face shells in the label’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection. The Nuptse Customs apply hand customization to a down jacket instead of a shell.
Awake NY first planned the Nuptse Customs as an in-person release at its flagship store. After strong customer interest, the label set aside part of the 50-piece run for online sale. The announcement lists no price and no online quantity, so the number of jackets available online stays unknown.
The online release starts on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 1 p.m. on the Awake NY website. If you want a piece, open awakenyclothing.com when the sale starts.
