Ducati has introduced a special edition Panigale V4 Tricolore, a motorcycle that commemorates both the company's racing heritage and the 40th anniversary of its iconic Tricolore color scheme. Limited to 1,000 individually numbered units worldwide, the motorcycle represents a carefully crafted tribute to Ducati's design and engineering prowess.
The model's distinctive aesthetic is the result of a collaboration between Aldo Drudi and Ducati's Centro Stile design team. The asymmetrical livery incorporates the Italian flag's colors with checkered flag elements, creating a visual narrative that connects racing history with national pride. Each detail has been meticulously considered, from the color placement to the symbolic design elements.
Technical specifications elevate the Tricolore beyond a mere aesthetic exercise. The motorcycle features lightweight carbon fiber rims that significantly reduce rotational mass, improving overall performance and handling. Brembo racing discs measuring 338.5 mm mark a first for a production motorcycle, offering enhanced braking capabilities typically reserved for professional racing environments.
"This model reflects our commitment to precision engineering and design", explained Andrea Ferraresi, Ducati's Director of Strategy & Style Center. The bike includes several high-end components, such as adjustable aluminum footpegs and an Alcantara seat, designed to provide both comfort and performance.
Collector-oriented details set this edition apart. Each motorcycle includes an engraved aluminum steering plate and arrives in a custom-designed box that matches the bike's unique livery. For U.S. customers, Ducati is offering an additional package that includes a matching limited-edition helmet and jacket.
Performance specifications remain consistent with the standard Panigale V4, ensuring that the Tricolore is not just a collector's piece but a fully functional superbike. The dry clutch and advanced aerodynamic design further emphasize its racing DNA.
Pricing is set at $58,000 USD, positioning the Tricolore as a premium offering for motorcycle enthusiasts and collectors. The first units are scheduled to arrive at U.S. dealerships in April 2025, with the limited production run ensuring its exclusivity.
This release underscores Ducati's ongoing strategy of creating limited edition models that blend technical innovation with cultural significance, appealing to both performance riders and design aficionados.
