San Marino outfit Eccentrica presents the V12 Roadster, stripping the roof off an iconic 1990s Lamborghini Diablo first-series chassis. You step straight into pure raw mechanical heritage through this carbon fiber build. Former Lamborghini CTO Maurizio Reggiani leads the engineering team behind this open-top model. Reggiani previously directed projects for the Murcielago, Aventador, and Huracan. The design firm Borromeo De Silva worked alongside Eccentrica to reshape original body lines into a modern stance.

Nineteen nineties poster cars represented unadulterated street presence, and this restomod brings back original raw energy to modern asphalt. You get the loud stance of an analog classic without modern digital filters intervening between your hands and the road. Inside the cockpit, vintage supercar minimalism meets high-end street style. Exposed structural carbon sits alongside premium Connolly leather and matte Alcantara. Anodized aluminum controls deliver tactility missing from contemporary touchscreen cabins.

Every build incorporates more than 3,500 custom components built over a steel spaceframe. The modified body uses full carbon fiber construction with structural carbon reinforcements to stiffen the open chassis. Double wishbone suspension hardware works alongside custom semi-active dampers to control wheel movements. Hydraulic rack-and-pinion steering replaces older setups, giving you precise road feel. Brembo supplies high-performance braking components to handle high speeds.

Under the rear engine cover sits an altered naturally aspirated 5.7-liter V12 engine producing 550 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. Redesigned thermal management systems improve cooling performance under heavy stress. Airflow efficiency updates allow the intake system to breathe freely. A customized ECU mapping sharpens pedal response when you push hard. You control power delivery through a classic six-speed gated manual transmission sending drive to the rear wheels.

The lack of an overhead panel does not lower performance figures. Tested top speeds reach 208 mph on track testing runs. Production limits capped output at 19 individual units worldwide. Each buyer selects specific interior upholstery and paint finishes during the ordering process.

Conversion pricing for previous coupe builds started at 1,200,000 euros excluding the original donor car. Official pricing for the Roadster edition remains undisclosed prior to the public presentation at The Quail during Monterey Car Week on August 14, 2026. The transformation process requires 16 to 18 months per vehicle, including extensive testing phases across varied road conditions.
