Imperfettolab has opened its latest exhibition series "Sodalizi Temporanei" at its Milan gallery space to coincide with the first anniversary of Imperfettogallery during Milano Design Week 2025. The exhibition runs until May 15th by appointment at the Naviglio Grande location in Milan.

The show presents collaborative works across two floors of the gallery space. On the ground level, Henzel Studio displays monumental rugs alongside sculptural pieces by artists Verter and Erich Turroni. The collaboration extends to a second venue at Carlocinque Gallery in the Brera district, where Henzel Studio's textile works featuring contemporary art designs are paired with limited-edition pieces from Imperfettolab's recent collection.

The gallery's upper floor houses the I-livingspace, a residential setting that incorporates various design pieces within a domestic environment. The space features ceramics from Bosa's collection designed by Jaime Hayon, olfactory furniture from Omatiiq, lighting by Accento, and a sound installation created with Soundohm.

Imperfettolab operates as both a design studio and gallery space, producing furniture and art objects that combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary forms. The company works primarily with fiberglass, using manual sanding techniques to create surface textures that distinguish each piece. Their output includes both serial production items and limited editions.

The Milan-based operation established Imperfettogallery in 2024 as a dedicated exhibition space located at Alzaia Naviglio Grande 38. The gallery serves as a platform for interdisciplinary collaborations between artists and designers, hosting rotating exhibitions that explore connections between different creative practices.

The current exhibition represents the second iteration of the "Sodalizi Temporanei" series, which focuses on temporary partnerships between practitioners from various fields. Previous collaborations have included work with international studios and individual artists working across multiple disciplines.

Imperfettolab's design approach centers on geometric forms and material contrasts, often working with oversized proportions and unconventional material applications. The studio's pieces range from functional furniture to sculptural objects, with many items existing at the intersection of design and fine art.

The gallery space reflects this dual focus, presenting both commercial design pieces and experimental artworks within curated environments. You can view the current exhibition by scheduling appointments through the gallery's contact website.
