Moon Boot is collaborating with designer Mattias Gollin on a new collection that adds decorative elements to their classic No Lace boot model. The "FLAKES" capsule features boots in sand and cognac colors, with pearls and crystals applied by hand across the surface.
The design follows a pattern that clusters the embellishments densely at the toe, then spaces them further apart toward the top of the boot, creating a gradient effect. According to the design team, this arrangement is meant to evoke the appearance of snow settling on the ground.
The boots maintain Moon Boot's signature silhouette while incorporating these new decorative elements. They will be available exclusively through Mattias Gollin's retail channels starting January 15, priced at $150.
Moon Boot, which began producing winter footwear in the 1970s, has previously worked with other designers and brands to create limited editions of their boots. This collaboration continues that pattern while marking Gollin's first work with the brand.
The collection will be produced in limited quantities, though the exact number has not been disclosed. Both colorways use the same placement pattern for the pearls and crystals, with the main difference being the base color of the boot material.
