Sony confirmed the release date of its PlayStation Pulse wireless headset on 21 October 2026. The headset goes on sale on 19 November 2026 in White and Midnight Black. It costs $99.99, £89.99 or €99.99 in 24 launch countries, including the US, the UK, Germany and Japan. Pre-orders open on 29 October 2026.
Design and details
The headset uses larger planar magnetic drivers than the Pulse Elite, which Sony introduced in 2024 as its first wireless headset with planar magnetic drivers. Each driver holds four magnets. Joe Bentley, Vice President of Engineering at Sony Interactive Entertainment, describes the result in a PlayStation Blog post as “fuller, deeper bass”.
Sony says the drivers deliver spatial accuracy, which helps players pinpoint footsteps or reloads in competitive first-person shooters. The integrated microphone uses AI-enhanced noise rejection to filter out background noise.
Connection and compatibility
The headset supports Sony’s proprietary PlayStation Link protocol and standard Bluetooth. PlayStation Link delivers lossless, ultra-low latency audio and lets players switch between the PS5, the PlayStation Portal remote player, PC and Mac. The box includes a PlayStation Link adapter with a USB Type-C connector.
