We attended the launch event of The Club On The Lake, a membership club in Villa Carminati Resta, which overlooks Lake Como. The venue is exclusive to approved members, and the team paid attention to detail, from the décor to the drinks.
SENT Entertainment Ltd launched the club. The London-based media and sports management company acquired Como 1907 in April 2019. Countess Teresa Carminati commissioned the villa, and construction began in 1787 to a design by Carlo Francesco Soave. The lake side of the villa has a double loggia. Como 1907 used the building for pre-match hospitality during the 2024/25 season, and the villa stands a few steps from Sinigaglia Stadium.
The club has a lobby lounge, a playroom, a library, a game room, a listening room and an outdoor terrace. The Nook is an intimate space overlooking the terrace. A Rhude Room is planned. The room takes its name from the brand founded by Rhuigi Villaseñor, chief brand officer of Como 1907.
Resident chef Terry Giacomello leads the kitchen. He spent nearly four years at El Bulli under Ferran Adrià, worked at Mugaritz with Andoni Luis Aduriz and at Miramar, and cooked in Brazil and Denmark. The club also opened an Omakase Bar. The format draws on Japanese tradition and puts chef and guest in direct contact.
Selected guests heard DJ sets by Giorgio Di Salvo and Omar Jaimes on opening night. In summer 2026, the villa hosted the closing event of Football On The Lake, with a performance by Craig David.
Membership works by application. The club reviews each applicant, and season ticket holders at the stadium do not receive membership automatically. The club opens every day from 8:00 to midnight. Membership details are on theclubonthelake.com.
