VIBRAM RELEASES KSO EVO MODEL FOR LUNAR NEW YEAR

Vibram has launched a special edition of its FiveFingers KSO Evo shoe to mark the Year of the Snake in the Chinese zodiac calendar. The design incorporates a textured upper pattern that mirrors snake scales, while maintaining the shoe's signature barefoot-style construction.

The model, which will be sold exclusively through the Doe Flagship Store in Shanghai, features a bright red colorway—a color traditionally associated with luck and prosperity in Chinese culture. The shoe retains the standard KSO Evo's technical specifications, including the Medium Ground Feel platform that allows wearers to sense terrain variations while providing protection from sharp objects.

This limited release combines the minimalist design of Vibram's toe shoes with decorative elements drawn from Chinese New Year traditions. The snakeskin texture has been printed onto the shoe's breathable mesh upper, and the sole maintains the same grip pattern as the regular KSO Evo model.

The company has not disclosed the exact number of pairs that will be produced. The shoe will be available for purchase starting next week at the Shanghai location. Pricing details will be announced at launch.

This release follows Vibram's previous zodiac-themed offerings, continuing the company's engagement with the Asian market. The KSO Evo "Year of the Snake" joins the brand's collection of specialized footwear designed for runners and fitness enthusiasts who prefer close ground contact during their activities.
