Barbour and Paraboot have released their second collaboration for Fall/Winter 2026, seven years after their first, according to Hypebeast. The Barbour Paraboot capsule has two pieces, a reworked Bedale jacket and a Chambord derby, and is on sale now through both brands' websites and at selected Paraboot stores in France.
John Barbour founded Barbour in 1894 at South Shields Market Place, and fishermen, sailors and mariners were among its first customers. Its waxed outerwear has been the starting point for several recent collaborations, including three consecutive years with Baracuta and a line with Levi's that included two versions of the Bedale, one of them in dark navy desert wax.
Paraboot dates back to 1908, when Rémy Richard began hiring his own staff in Izeaux, a village in Isère at the foot of the Alps. It opened its first directly owned boutiques in Paris, Lyon and Nice in 1987, and a year later its collections took on a more urban feel. The company's activities have been united in Saint-Jean-de-Moirans since 2017, when its factories in Izeaux and Fures closed.

The collection rests on an exchange of materials: Barbour's waxed canvas goes on the French shoe and Paraboot's leather goes on the British jacket.
The Chambord is a flat-top derby that Paraboot first made for city wear in Paris more than 40 years ago, according to Hypebeast. The construction stays the same, with five eyelets, a leather lining, Norwegian stitching with a scalloped square welt and a rubber sole, and Paraboot says the shoe is made in France. The change is on the upper, which mixes brown "gringo" nubuck with olive waxed canvas. A co-branded medallion and a leather tassel, both made for this release, hang from the laces, and Barbour's classic tartan appears inside the shoe. Each pair comes in a Paraboot box with a co-branded tartan dust bag.
The Bedale comes in Oban waxed canvas with a brushed finish. It keeps the jacket's roomy cut, low gusseted pockets and corduroy collar. Paraboot leather forms the chest pocket, and both brand names are embroidered on the lower pockets. The medallion and tassel from the derby also appear on the jacket, while the tartan shows under the collar and across the lining.
