American Eagle presented its first product collection with Lamine Yamal in Barcelona, the footballer’s hometown. Yamal, 19, plays for FC Barcelona and Spain. He joined the American denim brand in January 2026 as its first global brand ambassador, under a five-year agreement.
The 29-piece collection launched on September 3, 2026. The range includes baggy denim, cargo trousers, hooded denim jackets and oversized denim shirts, which follow the loose style Yamal wears away from football. American Eagle ran campaigns with him for several months before the product launch and aims to reach a global youth audience through the partnership.
The brand ran a 48-hour program in Barcelona under the concept “Live Your City.” The program moved through the city and used familiar urban spaces to let fans interact with the collection.
One location was The Studio, an American Eagle x Lamine Yamal pop-up in Dreta de l’Eixample, a neighborhood in the Eixample district. Local creatives Urees, Otti Hats, Ugo Boulard and Düa Düa led free denim customization workshops. Visitors reworked pieces with their own ideas, then joined a professional photo shoot inspired by the campaign while local DJs played.
Elsewhere, street artist TV Boy presented a 21-meter mural of Yamal. American Eagle also turned a metro carriage into a mobile party, with live music and the collection on display.
The program ended at the American Eagle Beach Club on Moll de la Marina, on the Barcelona waterfront. Hundreds of guests attended an evening of music, streetwear and a rap battle. Yamal appeared as a surprise judge.
In the United States, the collection is sold on AE.com and in selected stores. You buy in Europe through aeo.eu.
