Maserati presented two new versions of its GranCabrio convertible at The I.C.E. St. Moritz event in Switzerland this February. The Italian manufacturer introduced a 490-horsepower variant and unveiled a custom-built Trofeo model designed specifically for the winter gathering.
The standard GranCabrio comes equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 Nettuno engine. The powertrain sends 490 horsepower through an all-wheel-drive system, enabling the four-seat convertible to reach 62 mph in four seconds and achieve a maximum speed of 186 mph. Maserati fitted the car with air suspension to balance handling capabilities with long-distance comfort.
At the same event, Maserati's Fuoriserie customization division presented the GranCabrio Trofeo ONE of ONE – THE I.C.E. This one-off creation features a specially developed Ice Liquid tri-coat paint finish and a Blue Marine fabric roof. The exterior design includes white accent details and custom-made Astreo wheels with blue brake calipers. The cabin combines ice-colored leather with 3D carbon fiber elements.
Starting in March, both the GranCabrio and GranTurismo Trofeo models will be available with an optional Sports Exhaust system.
The brand's presence at St. Moritz extended beyond the new GranCabrio models. Maserati displayed its track-focused MCXtrema and GT2 Stradale alongside two classics from its heritage collection - a 6CM and a 200 SI - which took part in the event's concours competition.
The introduction of these models follows Maserati's strategy to maintain its position in the luxury grand touring segment while expanding its high-performance offerings.
