Summary:

  • Moncler casts Cher, Grace Jones and JENNIE in the Re/Icons campaign, which reworks archive outerwear.
  • Gabriel Moses photographed and directed the images, which draw on archive photographs of Lionel Terray.
  • Cher wears the Himalaya and Verone, JENNIE the Karakorum and Tibb, and Grace Jones a purple Karakorum.

Moncler has cast Cher, Grace Jones and JENNIE in the campaign for Re/Icons, a collection of outerwear reworked from the brand’s archive. The label presents the three as cultural pioneers who built careers without following an existing route. Each comes from a different field and a different generation.

Re/Icons began in 2023 and presents archive designs to a new generation. This edition adds a full ready-to-wear collection, a first for the project. You find four models in the line: Verone, Himalaya, Tibb and Karakorum.

The images draw on archive photographs of Lionel Terray, a French alpine climber and an early Moncler collaborator. The Himalaya jacket was made to outfit Terray for his 1955 ascent of Makalu. Moncler was founded in 1952 in Monestier-de-Clermont, an alpine village in France, and the collection stays tied to those mountain origins.

Gabriel Moses photographed and directed the campaign. He places each of the three at the center of a crowd and shows them in reworked versions of Moncler outerwear and accessories.

Cher has worked in music and film for several decades. She wears the white Himalaya and the black Verone with a yellow scarf. The scarf refers to the Bob Mackie scarf dress she wore on The Cher Show. In the campaign film, she pulls the scarf and sets the dancers around her in motion.

JENNIE wears the black Karakorum and the caramel Tibb gilet. Faces from around the world surround her. She is a South Korean member of BLACKPINK and also works as a solo artist.

Grace Jones is a singer and performer. She wears the Karakorum in purple. The styling points to her work with photographer and director Jean-Paul Goude.

Re/Icons is available from 15 October 2026 in selected Moncler stores and online.
