1. Introduce Yourself to the Casawi Community: What drives you? What's your artistic vision, and what sets you apart from the crowd?

As a Creative Director based in London and founder of Not Just Hip Hop (NJHH), I’m driven by a passion for movement, storytelling, and authentic connection. My artistic vision is rooted in breaking boundaries—blending hip hop, street dance, and Afrobeats, and challenging traditional ideas of what dance can be. What sets me apart is my commitment to building community, fostering emotional expression, and championing inclusivity. Over 20 years across the world, I’ve dedicated myself to creating spaces where everyone’s story matters and where dance is a catalyst for personal and collective transformation.

2. City Inspirations: How has your city influenced your artistic path? Share how its streets, culture, and energy have molded your work.

London’s energy is electric—diverse, ever-evolving, and unapologetically creative. The city’s streets are a living mosaic of cultures, rhythms, and histories. Walking through neighborhoods like Shoreditch or Brixton, I’m constantly inspired by the fusion of art forms, the street performers, and the openness to experimentation. London has taught me to embrace diversity, to find beauty in contrast, and to let the city’s pulse infuse every project I take on.

3. Creative Process: What fuels your creativity? Whether it's a ritual, a muse, or a moment of clarity, we're keen to learn.

My creativity is fueled by genuine human connection and lived experience. I thrive on real conversations, music that moves the soul, and moments of stillness where ideas crystallize. Rituals like meditation, time spent in nature, and late-night studio sessions help me tap into my intuition. I also draw inspiration from my Albanian roots and Italian experiences, weaving those influences into my work to create something truly unique. Community is at the heart of everything I do—seeing people grow, connect, and support each other is my biggest muse.

4. City Lifestyle and Art: How the places you lived influenced your career and work?

Having lived and worked in Albania, Italy, and now London, each place has left an indelible mark on my career. Albania gave me resilience and a deep appreciation for storytelling; Italy taught me about artistry, passion, and the power of community; London challenges me to innovate and connect with a global audience. This blend of influences shapes my approach as a creative director—always evolving, always honoring my roots, and always putting community first.

5. Latest or Upcoming Projects: Give us a glimpse into your current endeavors and what lies ahead on your creative journey.

Currently, I’m leading a range of creative projects that reflect both my versatility and multidisciplinary approach. My recent credits include working as a dancer in the “Wicked” movie, performing at the O2 Arena with Asake, and serving as movement director and performer for Rotimi at Wembley Arena. I’ve choreographed major commercials for brands like Cineworld and M&S, and collaborated with artists such as Kuami Eugene, Kidi, and Olamide.
Alongside these, I continue to expand the Not Just Hip Hop (NJHH) community as founder and creative director, developing new programs and events that celebrate diversity and creative expression. I’m also excited about my upcoming short film exploring dance and sci-fi, and the launch of a Performance Anxiety Toolkit for dancers—an innovative project blending mental health and movement. My journey ahead is about scaling impact: from high-profile performances and brand collaborations to empowering the next generation of dancers and creatives through NJHH.
