On Thursday, October 8, 2026, the Institut du monde arabe (IMA) in Paris named the winners of the second Arab Fashion Award, known in French as the Prix de la mode du monde arabe. The first edition took place in October 2025.

The jury selected five winners across five categories. Given the quality of the entries, the jury also added a special mention.

Talent Accessories went to Fatma Mostafa of Egypt. The studio Fatma Mostafa Jewelry joins textile embroidery and metalwork in single pieces, which sit between jewelry, sculpture and textile art.

Ibrahim Shebani won Creative Entrepreneurship Talent for Born in Exile, listed under Libya and Tunisia. The brand produces collections in Tunisia with materials sourced mainly from Italy and Spain, and designs pieces to last instead of following trends.

Salim Azzam of Lebanon received Talent in Creative Excellence and Craftsmanship. The designer makes garments slowly and ethically with artisan women from Mount Lebanon, using motifs from the Chouf mountains.

Ayham Hassan of Palestine won Emerging Talent. Hassan graduated from Central Saint Martins with the collection IM-Mortal Magenta, which Vogue, i-D and Dazed covered. Hassan’s work also appeared in The Only True Protest Is Beauty, an exhibition by Fondazione Dries Van Noten in Venice, which ran from April 25 to October 4, 2026.

Hazem Kais of Lebanon took the Jury’s Special Prize for the fashion house GOODKILL. The house sculpts, layers, molds, ages and naturally dyes fabrics.

The special mention went to Hind Hilal and the Bethlehem studio HINDHILAL, which makes limited-edition pieces from natural fabrics and works with local manufacturers after an in-house design phase.
