Summary:

  • Chromatique Lab shows its first runway collection, Spring/Summer 2027, in Paris on October 7, 2026.
  • Designer Justin Connor returns after two years without a release. His last collection came out in 2024.
  • Flying Solo co-presents the show, and a livestream is available.

Justin Connor, founder and designer of the independent label Chromatique Lab, shows his first runway collection in Paris today, October 7, 2026. The Spring/Summer 2027 collection is titled SINNER SINNER! and is presented with Flying Solo. The label announced the show on October 6.

Connor released his previous collection in 2024. He then spent two years outside the seasonal calendar. In that time he reworked the label's design language and reconsidered what Chromatique Lab should become, according to the announcement.

SINNER SINNER! looks at the boundaries between propriety and provocation, restraint and exposure, and good taste and its deliberate undoing. Familiar dress codes shift through proportion, material and image. Contradictory ideas share one wardrobe.

The title repeats a word of accusation until the meaning blurs. The label describes the effect as part judgment, part provocation and part joke. The collection does not define transgression. Instead, it questions the standards behind the distinction.

The show also changes the scale of the project. Clothing, casting, movement, sound and image appear together for the first time as one presentation. Connor has always treated the world around a garment as part of the garment, and the runway extends this approach.

Connor says the break gave him room to be more critical of the label. He lost interest in pieces that look good together and started asking why they belong together. He says some ideas contradict each other and make more sense when forced into the same space.

The label presents the show as the point where its vision becomes more fully articulated, while still resisting a fixed aesthetic. Connor describes Paris as a beginning, not a culmination.

You watch the presentation by livestream. Show access and updates are available on request at chromatique-lab.com.
