Fashion Farm Foundation (FFF) gave Hong Kong design a dedicated day on the second day of Paris Fashion Week. The non-profit organisation presented spring and summer 2027 collections from eight local labels: AENRMOUS, DEMO, KINYAN LAM, MATT HUI, PONDER.ER, STUDIO REDEMPTIVE, THE WORLD IS YOUR OYSTER and TIGERSTROLLING. The programme, HKFG SS27, combined presentations, a showcase and a networking session. The Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency of the Hong Kong government sponsored the event, and the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode supported the event.

KINYAN LAM, THE WORLD IS YOUR OYSTER and TIGERSTROLLING each held a solo presentation. The other five brands showed their collections in person to invited guests, among them media, buyers and industry insiders.

KINYAN LAM presented Lightness of Summer in a white industrial interior, with chairs and soft yellow accents. The collection uses looser shapes and lighter fabrics. THE WORLD IS YOUR OYSTER built a seaside holiday cottage for Wandering Summer, a collection based on the novel and film Bonjour Tristesse. The brand describes its approach as "Design with a twist."

TIGERSTROLLING placed a semi-transparent greenhouse made from industrial plastic film at the centre of the space. Inside, a circular mound of plants stood under a single spotlight, so visitors outside saw blurred silhouettes and colour. The theme, an unexist utopia, joins traditional garments with futuristic materials.

DEMO looked at the balance between stagewear and daily dressing. MATT HUI, a first-time HKFG participant, showed Live to the Fullest, a collection built on a look at the past and the question of "what if".

Guests included Magali Ginsburg of Victoire Fashion Agency, Fredrick Li of D-mop, Anthony Keung of Fenix Group Holdings, Judy Yau of Translatio, Jason Leung of Alphabet Showroom, Lily Templeton of WWD and Jonathan Yee of Manifesto. Influencers Susie Bubble and Calvin Wang and singer-songwriter Merry Lamb Lamb also attended.

HKFG, formerly Fashion Guerilla, runs twice a year, for spring/summer and fall/winter, and started in Paris in 2013. FFF was founded in 2012. If you are in Hong Kong in late October, a pop-up networking event will show selected SS27 pieces from all eight brands, menswear and womenswear, and you will be able to buy them in person. The release gives no exact date.
