- SSENSE opens a physical showroom in Paris on October 2

- Visitors view and try on garments normally restricted to digital platforms
Retailer SSENSE brings an offline showroom named Salon des Refuses to Paris Fashion Week on October 2. The event draws inspiration from the 1863 exhibition in Paris to create a physical space for you to interact with independent brands. You view and try on clothing items normally restricted to digital retail platforms.
The showroom presents four independent designers operating with distinct production methods. Kanika Agarwal works out of Paris and showed her first collection in March. Her designs merge European construction techniques with elements of her Indian heritage. Laura Andraschko works in London after growing up in Berlin. She bases her namesake brand on nightlife aesthetics from the early 2000s and rejects standard feminine silhouettes.
Swedish designer Petra Fagerstrom brings her London-based womenswear label to the event. She started her eponymous brand one year after finishing her studies at Central Saint Martins to emphasize personal agency over traditional softness. Andrea Bertazzon leads the brand Seconda in Paris alongside various collaborators. He established the project in 2024 to produce a single collection each year. The brand prioritizes modular clothing systems rather than standard seasonal schedules.
SSENSE plans to name additional participants before the opening. The event gives you direct access to independent fashion projects during a busy industry schedule. You evaluate the construction and fit of garments from emerging labels in person. The project expands the company model beyond digital retail into physical curation.
