1. Introduce Yourself to the Casawi Community: What drives you? What's your artistic vision, and what sets you apart from the crowd?
I’m Apostolis Dimitropoulos aka Krooksmucker, artist/painter based in Athens.I think I'm doing something unique with my own perspective, art is certainly subjective and everyone judges and chooses what they like, but that's the point of giving the choice to others. My vision is to be able to penetrate more into the world of fashion and also football, creating different concepts globally, uniting cultures and people from all over the world.
2. City Inspirations: How has your city influenced your artistic path? Share how its streets, culture, and energy have molded your work.
A source of inspiration can be anything around us, Greece and perhaps even Athens itself, where I live, has been one of the leading cities in both art and culture since ancient times, so this is an important stimulus for me. The energy of Athens is very strong! You feel it every day on the streets, there is tension, liveliness, all of this in combination with the weather, the sun, the cultural culture that we have available give you the boost you need, a walk in the center of Athens is enough to fill you with images and impressions.
3. Creative Process: What fuels your creativity? Whether it's a ritual, a muse, or a moment of clarity, we're keen to learn.
I can be inspired by everything, from the sun, a ride on my bike, mainly nostalgia is my main tool, always combined with the present. I don't think that one thing in particular pushes me to create, I have been inspired since a young age, with sports and especially with football when my father would put us on videotapes or take us to the stadium with my brother, all of these have remained engraved in me and give me the impetus to create every day.
4. City Lifestyle and Art: How the places you lived influenced your career and work?
Being able to travel through my work is very important and a basic element that inspires and constantly evolves my art. Constantly meeting new people, countries and cultures motivates me to evolve as a person but also as an artist. There is nothing more beautiful than traveling, especially when you meet great people and experience unforgettable moments. I can say that out there in some places I have a real family. In my job, it's everything, wherever I travel. I have to take something with me, meaning whether it's good or bad, a nice experience, even a bad one, gives you the stimulus for something creative, that's how I see it from my own eyes. A good meal, an art exhibition, a fashion show, everything is important. colors, shapes, flavors, aromas, patterns.
5. Latest or Upcoming Projects: Give us a glimpse into your current endeavors and what lies ahead on your creative journey.
Really great things and projects are coming, I can't reveal anything unfortunately but stay tuned. Expect a lot and different things from me in all areas, whether it's fashion or football, or culture in general. I feel grateful for all that's happening. Thank you.
