The long-running partnership between Converse and Rick Owens DRKSHDW has reached its conclusion with the release of their latest collaborative footwear design. Beginning in 2021, this alliance has produced numerous sought-after shoe models that quickly established themselves as collector's items among fashion enthusiasts.
Named the TURBOWPN Ox, this final offering represents a low-top adaptation of the sculptural TURBOWPN silhouette that previously defined their joint creative efforts. The design maintains Owen's characteristic approach to challenging fashion norms by reimagining Converse's classic Weapon model with exaggerated proportions despite its low-profile construction.
The shoe features an inflated premium leather upper, extended tongue, volumized midsole, and CX foam cushioning for enhanced comfort. Additional custom elements include a woven DRKSHDW label, serrated outsole, and molded rubber heel.
Available in "Oyster" and "Black" colorways, the TURBOWPN Ox launches April 29 through both brands' official websites and at select retail locations worldwide.
