Berlin based producer Funk Tribu releases his new project today. The EP carries the title LIFE and the twenty five year old artist draws direct inspiration from his relocation from Colombia to Europe. The record documents his recent experiences and you hear clear influences from the people he met and the community he built.

Funk Tribu spent recent years touring extensively across the globe. He played at major venues including UNVRS and Fabric London and Watergate while his performance schedule also included sets at Tomorrowland and Awakenings and Sonar. The heavy touring schedule prompted a period of reflection and this time allowed him to focus on creating new music. He used the break to launch his own record label called TRIBE which provides a platform for his vision.

The new EP explores personal and professional shifts. The track reborn alma deals with letting go of past versions of himself as the producer moves toward a grounded future. The music presents a clear direction for his sound and you notice the parallel journey of understanding his personal identity and his audio production.

The project offers a direct look into his current headspace. The transition from South America to the European electronic circuit shaped his approach to production and he channeled the energy of travel into these new tracks. The release of LIFE marks a pause to process these life changes.
