Walk through almost any festival and you’ll start noticing familiar pieces. Boots. Black T shirts. Oakleys. A Porter bag carrying the essentials. A technical windbreaker if the weather turns. They have become part of the festival wardrobe for a reason.
This weekend we were at Dekmantel, one of the world’s most celebrated underground electronic music festivals, with a different objective. We weren’t only watching the stages. We were looking at the people.
We stopped anyone who made us look twice. From a sharp all black look with a minimalist attitude, to a kilt paired with a bright red shirt. Different styles, different backgrounds, people from all over the world. Every outfit reflected the person wearing it, and that’s what made this gallery worth putting together.
Here are some of our favorite people we met along the way.
