Ahead of the 2026 Italian Grand Prix in Monza, the driver announced LN4 Fusion. You normally see veteran drivers start teams after retirement. Norris chose to intervene while still racing for McLaren.
The structure relies on personal funding from Norris and a dedicated investment group. The goal involves removing the immense financial barriers stopping young talent from reaching higher series. Winning the Formula 3 championship awards €300,000, which covers only a fraction of a Formula 2 season. You need serious financial backing to progress. Norris wants to solve this problem for drivers who lack wealthy sponsors.
The racing operation officially starts in 2027. LN4 Fusion acquired the F3 entry from German outfit AIX Racing. The squad will also compete in the Formula Regional European Championship and Italian F4. A formal application for Formula 2 is currently under review.
René Rosin serves as team principal. Rosin previously ran Prema Racing and built a long record of successful junior campaigns. Dan Richards holds the role of chief executive. The main European base operates out of the Veneto region in northern Italy. Dan Hazlewood leads the UK division in Cambridgeshire. This British base already runs a Formula 4 testing programme.
Alongside the race team, Norris created the LN4 Legacy Programme. ADD Management runs this separate project under the direction of Julian Rouse. This scheme finds promising drivers in karting and pays for their development. The programme covers coaching, mentoring, and race seats. Keeping the development wing separate from the race team allows young drivers to secure spots in other organizations if LN4 Fusion lacks available seats.
