PLEASURES has released its Holiday 2026 collection, "Ciel Couvert", named after the French phrase for an overcast sky. The PLEASURES Ciel Couvert range is built on dark neutrals and cold-weather layering, and it is available now online and through select global retailers. The campaign was shot across Montreal by photographer Aime-Elle.
What's in the PLEASURES Ciel Couvert collection
The Los Angeles label builds the season around a deeper, darker palette taken from gray weather. Dark neutrals anchor the whole range and give even the louder graphic pieces a shared tonal base. Against that base, PLEASURES works through knitwear in several constructions, alongside cold-weather layers designed to be stacked on top of each other rather than worn on their own.
The category mix is wide. Next to graphic pieces and knitwear, the collection covers outerwear, denim, headwear and a broad selection of bottoms. According to the brand, the focus is on detailing rather than new shapes: familiar silhouettes are reworked by pairing heavier and lighter fabrics, smooth and rough surfaces, and print-led pieces with plain everyday staples. Proportions also change from piece to piece, so a single outfit can set a loose layer against a closer-fitting one.
The Montreal campaign
Montreal is the visual counterpart to the clothes. Photographer Aime-Elle shot the campaign across the city, using the contrast between its different architectural styles, its textures and its own muted colours. The clothes are framed as part of the streetscape rather than placed in front of it, so the rough surfaces and tonal shifts of the buildings repeat the layering of fabrics in the collection. The overcast idea moves from the palette into the images themselves.
Nikki Nixon handled art direction, Sara Takenaka styled and produced the shoot, and Aljosa Alijagic assisted on photography.
PLEASURES before Ciel Couvert
The new collection follows the label's Spring 2026 collection, "Strange Ways Everyday", which mixed graphic shirts and oversized hoodies with workwear-inspired jackets, denim and track pants. That campaign was shot in London by Jason Landis, who followed a group of local artists through the city. For Holiday, the setting moves to Canada and the focus shifts from everyday routines to the weather.
PLEASURES was founded in 2015 by Alex James, and its clothes often draw on punk, music and alternative culture. That link to music has shaped some of its best-known collaborations, including a Daft Punk capsule released in July 2025, with robot-helmet graphics, a full-zip hoodie that covers the head and a padded jacket embroidered with the tracklist of Discovery. The same partnership produced a Casio G-SHOCK DW5600PDP-1 with the duo's helmets printed on the band. The label has also worked with Polo Ralph Lauren on baseball caps and with Dr. Martens on the Jorge Mule.
