German luxury manufacturers RIMOWA and GEWA Music have introduced their latest collaboration: a trumpet case that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern design elements. The release follows the success of their 2023 violin case project.
The case, manufactured in Germany, features RIMOWA's signature anodized aluminum construction with parallel grooves, finished in silver. Taking design cues from RIMOWA's Classic line, the case incorporates polished aluminum corner pieces and comes equipped with both a leather handle and an adjustable shoulder strap.
Musicians can store up to two trumpets within the case's interior, which is lined with black foam and microfiber material. The design accommodates both RIMOWA's Piston and Rotary trumpet models. For working musicians, the case includes practical accessories: a leather pouch that holds four mouthpieces and additional small items, plus two dust bags for instrument protection.
The design process focused on meeting specific requirements from professional trumpet players, particularly regarding instrument security during travel and ease of access during performances.
